There is just no stopping Stow’s up and coming couture jewelry designer Michelle Pajak-Reynolds.
Reynolds, an entrepreneur and former teacher, was invited to take her fall collection to be featured in New York’s Fashion Week in September and was invited to return for two exclusive events in the New York City fashion industry this spring.
Reynolds couture jewelry collections were part of two events during New York Fashion Week spring season: Small Boutique Fashion Week and Nolcha Fashion Week's Fashion Lounge & Media Brunch.
Small Boutique Fashion Week is the premier fashion week showcase for handmade goods, custom made clothing, independent designers, celebrity stylists, boutique owners and members of the small scale buying community.
Designers from around the country had the opportunity to display their collections to small-scale buyers, boutique owners, celebrities, celebrity stylists and the general public.
The event was held from Feb. 10-14 at the prestigious Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City where designers such as Tracy Reece, Steve Madden and Coach have debuted their collections.
“My experiences at Small Boutique Fashion Week and Nolcha Fashion Week helped me gain valuable connections with international fashion industry influencers. These new relationships are helping me build my brand and are leading to some really incredible career opportunities,” Reynolds said.
Reynolds paired her one of a kind couture jewelry designs with fashions by Priti by Design.
Priti by Design is focused on creating sustainable fashion solutions for today’s woman. The brand is introducing the concept of modular clothing to style that would allow them to mix, match or swap the essential components of their wardrobe.
According to their website pritibydesign.com, their aim is to create sets of clothing that transform into multiple looks – so women can do more with less.
Five models walked the runway of the Small Boutique Fashion Week runway show wearing both Reynolds jewelry pieces and fashions by Priti by Design.
Next, Reynolds displayed pieces from her collections Opulence, Water's Edge, Serendipity and Petals at Nolcha's Fashion Lounge & Media Brunch hosted at the Yotel Hotel in Times Square.
The Nolcha Fashion Week is a leading award-winning event that is also held during New York Fashion Week, which allows independent fashion designers to showcase their collections to a global audience of press, retailers, stylists and industry influencers.
“It is a fantastic platform for innovative independent designers to showcase their collections via runway and exhibition presentations,” Reynolds said.
Reynolds said the event provides designers the opportunity meet and have extended conversations with fashion industry influencers including celebrities, press, buyers and stylists, over the course of a fabulous afternoon.
“It was an incredible feeling, that I can't even begin to put into words, to show my jewelry during two events at New York Fashion Week this season. To be invited to show my jewelry on the runway with Priti by Design at Small Boutique and then with Nolcha, the most prestigious New York Fashion Week event for independent designers, is a huge honor and significant career building credentials for an independent designer like myself,” Reynolds said.
