Arrests

A Kent Road man, 53, was charged with possession of marijuana Oct. 4. Police were investigating a burglary in his apartment when they reported finding a marijuana cigarette butt. The resident admitted the drug was his.

A Kent man, 19, was charged with robbery Oct. 3 after he allegedly shoplifted goods from Kohl's at 4240 Kent Road and assaulted an employee who tried to stop him.

Child endangering

Police were called Oct. 3 after a woman left three children, ages 9, 5 and 3, in her car while she shopped in the 4200 block of Kent Road.

Drugs

Police reported finding a marijuana-growing operation while investigating a loud party in the 4500 block of Hudson Drive.

Text message

A Beechwood Avenue man told police Oct. 3 that his daughter received a pornographic picture in a text message from someone the family knew before moving to Ohio. The girl's father told the phone owner not to send similar texts. The owner said her son sent the image and it wouldn't happen again.
