The Northeast Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association awarded Stow-Munroe Falls High School Athletic Director Cyle Feldman with the Meritorious Award Service Award for the 2012-2013 school year.
This is Feldman’s 10th year as the director of athletics for the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District. During his tenure, he spearheaded the expansion of sports programs, such as girls golf, girls lacrosse and girls and boys bowling, so that every student has the opportunity to participate in a sport they love. The athletic program now has 27 teams and more than 660 student-athletes and has won the Harold A. Meyer Award for Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity for the last five years.
Feldman also established a student Athletic Leadership Advisory Council that aims to enhance every student-athlete’s development as a team leader and helps them utilize these skills to better their community.
"Mr. Feldman selflessly dedicates himself to the students of SMFHS in many capacities. His leadership helps support student-athletes as they strive to reach their full potential on the field and in the classroom,” Principal Chris DiMauro said in a press release.
