Making the holiday season a magical and memorable time for children is something that ignites the holiday spirit.

The Cities of Munroe Falls and Stow wanted to do their part to make the holidays special for children and have started a new tradition at city hall.

Toy Drive

Munroe Falls is serving as a collection site for The Holiday Toy Room sponsored by Summit County Children Services.

Residents can drop off new, unwrapped toys at Munroe Falls City Hall that is located at 43 Munroe Falls Ave.

Toys will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday.

Letters to Santa

As part of a new tradition in Munroe Falls, children were able to mail letters to Santa Claus at the North Pole by dropping their letters off in the red mailbox in front of city hall at 43 Munroe Falls Ave.

Children were instructed to leave a self-addressed stamped envelope if they wished to receive a letter back from Santa.  Letters will be collected through Christmas Eve.

The City of Stow continues its ‘Letters to Santa’ tradition this year as well.

Children are able to write their Christmas wishes to Santa and have their letters mailed to the North Pole by depositing the notes into a special holiday mailbox through Wednesday. The mailbox is located outdoors near the entrance to Stow City Hall at 3760 Darrow Road.

Children who send their letters with a legible self-addressed, stamped envelope enclosed will also receive a personalized return letter this holiday season.
