Stow, Munroe Falls to hold holiday tree recycling program

By Heather Beyer/Ohio.com correspondent Published: December 25, 2012

The gifts have been unwrapped, the cookies have been eaten, the carols have been sung and sadly there is an abundance of pine needles taking residence on the living room floor.

It's time to take down the Christmas tree. Stow and Munroe Falls have released its schedule for tree recycling.

Munroe Falls
Residents are encouraged to have their trees placed on to the curb by 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 3, to ensure that will be picked up.

All decorations, tinsel, and the tree stand must be removed prior to disposal, as these items will damage the equipment used to grind the trees.

Stow
Residents may take their trees to 5070 Stow Road beginning on Dec. 26 through the end of January.

Trees will not be accepted with decorations or tinsel.
